Pope Francis approved a change to the wording of the Lord’s Prayer, which will no longer say “lead us not into temptation”, as the Pope claimed that the current wording implied that God pushed us into temptation.
The Pope said in 2017 he believed the wording should be altered, underlining that “It is not a good translation because it speaks of a God who induces temptation.”
Therefore, the revised translation of the prayer will say “do not let us fall into temptation.”
“It’s Satan who leads us into temptation – that’s his department,” noted Pope Francis.
The correction of the words of Christ by the Pope sparked controversy in some Catholic theological circles, as reported by www.ant1news.gr
