In his address to the faithful during Wednesday’s general hearing at the Vatican, Pope Francis emphasized the urgent need for peace to reign in all conflict-ridden areas around the globe.
Specifically, as the Catholic Easter approaches, to be celebrated on Sunday, March 31, Pope Francis directed his prayers and hopes towards regions grappling with violence and unrest. He highlighted: “May the Lord grant us peace. In Ukraine, a land enduring immense suffering amidst bombings, may peace triumph. Similarly, in Palestine and the Holy Land, let peace prevail. May the Lord bestow upon us all the gift of peace during this Easter season.”
The pontiff’s words resonated deeply with the congregation, underscoring the importance of seeking peace and reconciliation in areas marred by conflict.
