Metropolitan Panteleimon of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon received the Director General of Communications from the Ministry of Communications and Media of the Republic of the Congo, at the See of the Holy Metropolis.
The purpose of the unplanned visit was to check the structures, the general operation and the programme of the Radio Station “The Voice of Orthodoxy 96.8 FM” of the Holy Metropolis of Congo-Brazzaville.
The Director General of Communications expressed his satisfaction with the excellent organization and proper functioning of the Radio Station and congratulated the local Orthodox Church on its productive efforts to promote the spiritual advancement of the area.
It is noted that Radio Station “The Voice of Orthodoxy 96.8 FM” was founded by the late Metropolitan of Central Africa Ignatius (Mandelides) between 2008-2009.
Its purpose is to promote and spread Orthodox faith and spirituality, patriarchal teaching and tradition, ecclesiastical hymnology and music, as well as to inform the population on health, education, women’s rights etc.
