With the wishes of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, the second liturgy seminar on “Holy Week: Spiritual and liturgical life” took place on January 26-29, 2020, at the seat of the Holy Metropolis of Congo-Brazzaville and Gabon.
On January 25, Metropolitan Panteleimon welcomed the Orthodox clergymen coming from various cities of the country. On Sunday, January 26, 2020, a Divine Liturgy was performed with the participation of all clergy, parish choirs, members of the Metropolitan Council, members of Parish Committees and a large number of faithful. On the occasion of the pericope of Jesus’ call to Zacchaeus, the Metropolitan proclaimed the Divine Word, referring to the call to priesthood, as well as to the important event of the second liturgy seminar aimed at the training of the clergy on the liturgies of the Holy Week and by extension the spiritual development of the local Church of Congo-Brazzaville.
The three-day liturgy seminar was successfully concluded on the evening of January 29, with the offering of vestments and catechetical texts to priests.
