On Sunday, January 12, 2020, the Feast of the Epiphany and the Dive for the Holy Cross will take place at Yarra Bay Bicentennial Park, with all Sydney Parishes participating.
During this year’s celebration, the thoughts of the Archdiocese of Australia and its faithful will be on the victims and affected of the devastating fires raging across Australia. For this reason, the established event that will take place after the Blessing of the Waters will also be of a charitable nature. During the event, the Youth Central Committee of the Australian Archdiocese will raise money from the generous donations of the participants, which will be made available to support those affected by the fires.
The Dive for the Holy Cross service, officiated by Archbishop Makarios of Australia, will take place at 1 pm, followed by a Festive program with folklore dances and live music, in an open area with kiosks serving several dishes.
