In his sermon, Metropolitan Dimitrios referred to the life of the great Holy Patron Saint of Thessaloniki and the importance of his martyrdom as an example of dealing with trials in our daily lives. He also thanked the congregation, which attended the Divine Liturgy to honor Saint Dimitrios and to celebrate his name day.
After the artoklasia, the priest of the Cathedral Protopresbyter Fr. Panagiotis Xenitellis addressed a greeting to the Metropolitan on behalf of the clergy and the people.
Finally, Metropolitan Dimitrios received the wishes of the faithful.
