On January 7 and 8, Metropolitan Demetrios of France visited the parish of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Marseille.
On Saturday afternoon, January 7, he blessed the Vasilopita of the Greek Union of Marseille, in the presence of the Mayor of the local District, the President of the Greek Union of Marseille, Petros Theodorakis, the President of the Greek Community of Paris and Surroundings, Seta Theodoridou, and many Greeks and philhellenes of Marseille.
The next day, Sunday, January 8, he officiated at the Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Marseille, accompanied by the priests of the church.
After the end of the Divine Liturgy, the immersion of the Holy Cross at the old port of the city took place.
