Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew received today, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, the Special Adviser to the Director-General of UNESCO, Mounir Bouchenaki, with whom they discussed issues of common interest, including the conversion of Hagia Sophia and Chora Church into a mosque.
It is recalled that the Ecumenical Patriarch had received Bouchenaki again last October, with whom he had a very interesting discussion.
It is recalled that the Patriarch, in the past, had officially visited the headquarters of the international organization, in Paris, where he addressed at a special event.
Earlier in the morning, the Presentation of our Lord was celebrated at the Patriarchal Cathedral in the Phanar. The Ecumenical Patriarch, presided over the Divine Liturgy along with Metropolitan Bessarion of Spain and Portugal.
