The medical state of Metropolitan Georgios of Kitros, Katerini and Platamonas is “stable and progressing well,” who tested positive for COVID-19 and has been hospitalized for four days at the AHEPA Hospital in Thessaloniki.
The Metropolitan undergoes the necessary medical examinations daily and receives the appropriate medication. Metropolitan’s health status is monitored by a team of university and other specialized doctors led by Professor of Pathology-Infectious Diseases Symeon Metallidis, as mentioned in a relevant announcement issued by the Metropolitan of Kitros, Katerini and Platamonas.
Metropolitan Georgios thanks, among other things, the administration staff of AHEPA, the medical and nursing staff, both for the care they offer to him and for “being professional and dedicated to their profession.”
