Metropolitan Georgios of Kitros, Katerini and Platamonas tested positive for the COVID-19 after a molecular diagnostic test. According to an announcement by the Metropolis, “Metropolitan’s health condition is very good and he is already quarantined at home following the physicians’ instructions.”
In the same announcement, it is mentioned, among other things, that Bishop Agathonikos of Arousa and Central Tanzania, “brother of the Holy Monastery of Saint Dionysios in Olympus, had COVID-19-related symptoms” and is undergoing a medical examination at the 424 Military Hospital in Thessaloniki. His health condition, as mentioned, is very good.
