In his established Easter message, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison “pays tribute to our country, Australia.”
In his message, published and written in Greek, Prime Minister Scott Morrison reported that “in Easter, Australians join Christians around the world to proclaim the joy and grace at the centre of the Christian faith.”
“For Christians,” he continues, “Easter is a time for reflection and renewal, of contemplating the sacrifice and resurrection of Christ, and His enduring promise for forgiveness.”
Morrison pays tribute this year to the influence of Christian faith on Australia.
“This faith has seen the sick tended in hospitals, the children educated in schools, the poor supported by Christian charities, the lonely comforted by church communities and countless lives provided with strength and support.”
And he concludes: “May all of us be encouraged in our commitment to serve others and to uphold the values that we celebrate today.”
And with the wishes “He is Risen! Happy Easter,” the Prime Minister concludes his Easter message.
