“No one can deprive you of the right to dream, to enjoy everyday life, to hope, to build your visions.”
In his message to the students and teachers, Archbishop Ieronymos highlighted the value of the school in these difficult times for our country due to the pandemic.
Archbishop Ieronymos emphasized to the elementary school children “Do not forget that your best friend, Jesus Christ, is sitting right next you at your desk today and will hold your hand this year, both in your achievements, that there will be many, but also in the small mistakes, which will surely come and help you to take a step forward!. We wish your laughter and your voices, which today resonate in every schoolyard of our beautiful Greece, to give hope to all of us, who look back with nostalgia on the unforgettable moments of our school years”.
Archbishop Ieronymos said to the high school students “It is naive not to worry about the insurmountable difficulties of our time. No matter how heavy and gray the atmosphere around you is, you are the clear horizon, the future and the hope. No one can deprive you of the right to dream, to enjoy everyday life, to hope, to build your visions”.
Archbishop Ieronymos urged the students “Throw yourself courageously on the track with hope, optimism and with a clear look. You are the ones that will transform the crisis into an opportunity, into a blessed privilege of rebirth “.
Finally, in his message to the teachers, Archbishop Ieronymos emphasized “In this difficult path, I want to assure you from the bottom of my heart that Church is always standing by your side as a companion and an unshakable rock of hope and is always open to you, your concerns and your visions. I express my gratitude to you, but also on behalf of the whole Church for your contribution and be sure that I pray that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ protects and follows you in your divine work”.
