Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias concluded his visit to Tirana with his meetings with Archbishop Anastasios of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania which took place in a cordial atmosphere, and members of the Greek business community in Albania.
“Greece is firmly by the side of the Greek minority in Albania” was the message of Dendias in the meeting with the presidents of the political party Unity for Human Rights, Vangjel Dule and of Omonoia, Vasilis Kagios.
Earlier, Nikos Dendias’s contacts following the meetings with the Prime Minister, Edi Rama and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Albania, Gent Cakaj, concluded to the decision that the maritime zones issues between Albania and Greece should be settled at the International Court in The Hague. Also bilateral and regional cooperation was discussed, as well as the developments in the wider region.
In more detail, during his meeting with the President of Albania, Ilir Meta, Dendias announced in a post on his Twitter account that he discussed the bilateral and regional cooperation between Greece and Albania, as well as the developments in the wider region.
With the President of the Democratic Party of Albania, Lulzim Basha, Dendias discussed the referral of the demarcation of the Greek-Albanian maritime zones to the International Court in The Hague.
