Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the planned constitutional revision during a press conference at the Thessaloniki International Fair on Sunday. Mitsotakis announced that he aims to initiate the revision process in early 2025, with a goal of achieving a broad constitutional overhaul.
He emphasized the importance of seeking a broad consensus, as outlined by the Constitution, to facilitate this process. However, Mitsotakis clarified that key issues concerning State-Church relations will not be part of the upcoming revision. “I do not intend to address these issues in detail,” he stated, reaffirming that the constitutional revision will not focus on altering the framework governing State-Church relations.
