On the morning of Easter Sunday, April 24, 2022, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium presided over the Vespers of Love along with clergy of the Brussels region.
The Gospel was read by the Metropolitan of Belgium in Greek and then in various languages by clergy and other associates of the Holy Diocese, and finally again in Greek by the Archdeacon of the Diocese.
At the end of the Vespers, on the occasion of the joyful celebration, Metropolitan Athenagoras expressed his gratitude to the clergy of the Holy Metropolis for their pastoral work, the cantors, the commissioners, and parishioners as well as all the faithful for their interest in the Church. Particularly he addressed the Orthodox faithful from Ukraine, who due to the war are refugees in a foreign land, welcoming them to the Holy Diocese and wishing the war in their homeland to end as soon as possible.
