The memory of the Holy Great Martyr Marina was honored with splendor in the Holy Metropolis of Belgium in the namesake celebrating parish in Brussels.
On the afternoon of Sunday, July 16, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg presided over the Vespers, while the next day, mainly on the day of the feast, the Metropolitan of Belgium presided over the Divine Liturgy, with the participation of clergy from the parishes of Brussels.
During his sermon, the Metropolitan referred to the life of the saint and how he can inspire the faithful to love God.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Metropolitan thanked the hierarchical head of the Parish, Georgios Kokkonas, and his associates for the whole organization of the feast, the clergy for their participation, as well as the faithful who rushed to honor the memory of Saint Marina.
