The annual pilgrimage to the monastery seat of Agia Marina at the Monastery of Hosios Loukas (St. Luke) on the island of Ambelos in the Corinthian Gulf was held this year by Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece, accompanied by the Protosyncellus of the Holy Archdiocese of Athens, Bishop Symeon of Thespies.
With the permission of the Metropolitan Georgios of Thebes and Levadia, the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy were performed by Bishop Symeon of Thespies.
A crowd of faithful congregation from neighboring coasts of Boeotia swarmed the Church to participate in this special Feast.
Archbishop Ieronymos gave his blessing to all believers, along with heartfelt fatherly wishes. He even called “everyone to fight so as to move forward not only on a personal level, but collectively and nationally and even globally”.
From his part, in his brief preaching, Bishop Symeon of Thespies, after he thanked Metropolitan of Thebes and Levadia for his permission to perform the Divine Liturgy, referred to the eucharistic relationship of the faithful with the Saints and to why Christians should continually thank the Saints of our Church.
