Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is due to meet with Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria this afternoon at 18:00.
The meeting was announced by the government spokesman, Mr. Petsas.
It should be reminded that yesterday the Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa Theodore II visited the Minister of Culture, Lina Mendoni, and briefed her on the establishment of the Hellenic Academy, which will be hosted at the Alexandrian Averoff Foundation.
The Patriarch of Alexandria also requested the minister’s mediation with the National Bank in order to transfer the historical archive of the ancient Patriarchate, hosted by the Cultural Foundation of the National Bank (MIET), in the Metochion of the Patriarchate of Alexandria in Athens.
