Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reaffirmed Greece’s ongoing support for Ukraine in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy today. During their discussion, Mitsotakis reiterated Greece’s commitment to assisting Ukraine.
Reflecting the decisions made by the European Council last December, Mitsotakis also emphasized Greece’s backing of Ukraine’s European integration and the upcoming EU-Ukraine Intergovernmental Conference scheduled for next June, which will mark the official start of Ukraine’s accession negotiations with the EU.
Additionally, Mitsotakis accepted Zelenskyy’s official invitation to participate in the Conference on Peace in Ukraine, set to take place on June 15 and 16 in Switzerland.
