The Athens Chamber of Tradesmen has strengthened the Archdiocese of Athens with 1,000 bottles of antiseptic. Last week, the president of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, Giannis Chatzitheodosiou, visited Archbishop Ieronymos II of Athens and All Greece, in order to deliver the donation of the Chamber to the Archdiocese. He was accompanied by the First Vice President of the Chamber, Nikos Grentzelos, and the Third Vice President, Elias Mandros.
In the discussion the Archbishop had with Mr. Chatzitheodosiou, he referred to the social work of the Athens Chamber of Tradesmen, to the responsible attitude of the Church during the first phase of the pandemic, to the management of the chamber’s administration to support its work, while expressing his appreciation to the Archbishop. At the same time, he praised the Church’s contribution during the economic crisis by organizing meals for our fellow citizens facing serious financial problems and stressed its relationship with citizens and businesses, in order to support society in these difficult conditions.
Archbishop Ieronymos thanked Mr. Chatzitheodosiou both for the offer of the chamber and for the cooperation so far, emphasizing that it is a great thing for the Church to have companions, something that, as he pointed out, brings him great emotion. The social contribution of the chamber continues with the distribution of health material to social organizations.
