The new Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher in Greece, Archimandrite Raphael Grivas, visited this morning Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and All Greece.
The Archbishop welcomed Fr. Raphael and wished him strength and patience, while pointing out that there will be a good cooperation. On his part, the Exarch thanked the Archbishop and conveyed the love of the Patriarch Theophilos of Jerusalem. “Thank you for the support of the Church of Greece for the work of the Patriarchate,” said Fr. Raphael, while speaking to reporters, he noted that “I paid my first visit to the Archbishop with feelings of joy and emotion in order to pay my respects and receive his wish for the beginning of the new ministry in the Exarchate of the Holy Sepulcher. We had a good meeting and I believe we will have a good cooperation for the benefit of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem and the Church of Greece.”
The Archbishop expressed his joy and emotion “because,” as he said, “the new Exarch of the Holy Sepulcher is a clergyman whom I know a lot. I know him from his service at the Church Radio Station and from the Metropolis of Fthiotida when he was Protosyncellus.” He added: “I believe that the issues of the Patriarchate of Jerusalem in Athens will go forward and our cooperation will be fruitful and good.”
