With the wishes and blessings of the Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, Metropolitan Theodosius of Kananga laid the foundation stone for a temple in the city of Bilomba in central Kassai.
In this area, the faithful could worship God and pay their respects to the icons in a rough church made of herbs.
After his tour, the Metropolitan travelled to Bilomba and founded the new temple in memory of the Annunciation. A donor, who wants to remain anonymous, supported financially this construction.
Metropolitan Theodosius thanked warmly the unknown donor and those who support the mission work. He stressed that we must thank mainly those who contributed to this work from their wallet rather than those, he said, who merely manage their money.
