“A positive message to all the people of Macedonia” was sent with the election of the new Archbishop of America, Elpidophoros, said the governor of the region of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, who will attend the enthronement ceremony of the new Archbishop in New York.
Apostolos Tzitzikostas held a meeting with the new Archbishop, at his birthplace, Nea Pella, three days ago, where he attended the Great Vespers of Pentecost, who was presided over by Elpidophoros.
In his statement, the regional governor pointed out that he would be on the side of the new Archbishop “in the important mission he undertakes for Greek community, Orthodoxy and the Greek diaspora” while describing his enthronement as “a flagship event for Greece, Macedonia and our expatriates in the United States.”
