In the first week of Lent – Sunday of Orthodoxy, the day when the Church celebrates the memory of the establishment of respect for icons in 843, during the reign of Empress Theodora and Patriarch Methodius, after long persecution of icons in the VIII and IX century, in the Zica monastery sisterhood, clergy and faithful with joy welcomed their archpastor, Bishop Justin of Zica.
Bishop Justin of Zica officiated the Holy Hierarchal Liturgy with the concelebration of Archimandrite Damjan (Cvetkovic), Jakov (Lazovic) and Sava (Ilic), Protopresbyter-Staurophors Lazar Vasiljevic and Nenad Ilic, Protonamesnik Dragan Gligic and Milos Stanisavljevic, as well as Protodeacon Aleksandar Grujovic.
Bishop Justin of Zica after the Holy Communion, first emphasized the significance of the holiday in his sermon, since this day is considered a victory of truth and piety.
