The traditional Christmas carols heard with joy and emotion, for the first time this year, Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
This pleasant surprise for the Archbishop came from students of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Grammar School, who, in anticipation of the impending Christmas, visited the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese in Sydney to announce the joyful message of the birth of Jesus Christ.
This message, together with the smiles of the students and the melodies from well-known Christmas carols, with which the Archdiocese was “flooded”, were a valuable note of optimism in the difficult times we are going through.
Archbishop Makarios warmly thanked the children for their visit, devoted enough time to talk to them, while offering them treats and gifts, as well as his paternal wishes and blessing. They respectfully reciprocated the wishes, on behalf of the entire school community of the All Saints Greek Orthodox Grammar School.
The Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Panagia Pantanassa in Mangrove Creek, Archimandrite Fr. Eusebios, and the former Abbot of the Monastery, Archimandrite Geron Stephanos, also had the pleasure of hearing the carols sung by the young students together with the Archbishop.
