On the evening of Holy Tuesday, with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, presided at the final service of the Bridegroom at the Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in West Perth.
Towards the end of the service, following the Hymn of Kassiani, Bishop Elpidios delivered a brief sermon on the leading figures in the Drama of Golgotha and referred to the Prokeimenon chanted on Holy Thursday evening, “They divided My garments among themselves, and for My clothing they cast lots”.
At the conclusion of the service, Bishop Elpidios wished all the faithful strength from above for the remainder of Great and Holy Week.
