On Monday, May 13, Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, on behalf of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, warmly welcomed the Ambassador of Greece to Australia, Stavros Venizelos, and his wife, Larissa Tikaidis, at the headquarters of the Archdiocesan District of Perth.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the Consul of Greece in Perth, Georgia Karasiotou, along with the delegation of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff visiting Australia, consisting of Vice-Admiral Christos Sasiakos, Deputy Chief of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Captain Pavlos Aggelopoulos, Chief of Staff D3 of the Directorate of International Relations of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, Lieutenant Stylianos Mitsiotis, Chief of Staff of the 1st Department of the Directorate of Public Relations of the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, and Colonel Ioannis Fasianos, Military Attaché of Greece in Canberra.
