On Monday the 15th of July 2024, with the blessing of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the Director of the Greek Welfare Centre, Mr. Steve Magdas, visited the Archdiocesan District of Perth Offices and the Church of Saint Nektarios.
Mr. Magdas, together with his staff, were warmly received by Bishop Elpidios of Kyanea, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Perth. Bishop Evmenios of Kerasounta, Archiepiscopal Vicar of Northcote, was also present and was visiting Perth for the Centenary Celebrations of our Holy Archdiocese.
The following day the Director and staff of the Greek Welfare Centre conducted a Volunteer Training Course at the Archdiocese Conference Room. Over 40 people attended, and a certificate was awarded to all who participated in the course.
The Greek Welfare Centre is the Community and Social Welfare Services arm of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and operates out of Sydney.
