Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa blessed students and teachers of the Greek schools in Cairo who gathered to celebrate the Feast of the Three Holy Hierarchs.
The Patriarch of Alexandria, accompanied by Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, presided over the Divine Liturgy at Panagitsa Church in Heliopolis in the presence of the students of Achillopouleios School and Cairo’s Ampeteios School.
Patriarch Theodore thanked the young students who spoke about the work of the hierarchs. The Patriarch talked about his school years and his experience when he was going to the church on the Three Hierarchs Feast. He also spoke about students coming from all parts of Africa despite adverse conditions both at school and the Church. He also referred to the great benefactors who founded the Greek Schools in Cairo, Achillopouleios School and Ampeteios School.
