Patriarch Theodore of Alexandria and All Africa is in Cyprus since yesterday and on Sunday, March 31, he will officially present the church of Agios Savvas in old Nicosia and formally enthrone the new exarch of the Alexandrian Church in Cyprus, Bishop Nicodemos of Nitria.
Bishop Nicodemos succeeds Archimandrite f. Athinodoros Papaevripiadis, who, after several years of a very significant and constructive presence and offering in Nicosia, will return to Johannesburg.
On this journey, patriarch Theodore is accompanied by the patriarchal commissioner of Cairo, Metropolitan Nicodemus of Memphis.
