In the context of the interest and pastoral care of Metropolitan Cleopas of Sweden and All Scandinavia, for the flock of the Mother Church of Constantinople in the Nordic Lands, the Metropolitan, accompanied by Archimandrite Alexandros Loukatos, Presiding Priest of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary Metropolitan Church in Oslo, will be visiting Iceland and its capital Reykjavik, on January 14-15, 2023.
Metropolitan Cleopas will preside over the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, with Fr. Alexandros’ participation, which will be conducted at the Fridrikskapella (Reverend Friðrik Friðriksson Chapel), at Hlidarendi, 101 Reykjavik, on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 10 a.m.
Immediately after the Divine Liturgy, the Service of the blessing of the water will take place, on the occasion of Epiphany Day, and the cutting of the traditional vasilopita.
This pastoral visit by the Metropolitan provides an opportunity to gather together, exchange wishes for the new year, and receive the blessings and wishes of our Spiritual Father.
