The Fifth Great Vespers service was celebrated in the St. Athanasios Metropolitan Cathedral in Ioannina on Sunday, April 14.
Metropolitan Maximos of Ioannina, accompanied by Archim. Thomas Andreou and Protosyncellus of the Metropolis, officiated the Vespers service.
After the end of the Vespers, Metropolitan Maximos spoke about the “marriage and the family from now until the Christmas Dinner of the Kingdom of God.”
”Marriage and family are connected with the final victory over sin, the devil, the corruption and the death. They are linked to our compassion in the resurrection of Jesus, with our participation in the Easter Heavenly Dinner,” said the Metropolitan of Ioannina.
