Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa, was saddened to learn of the passing away of the Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO, the late Marianna Vardinoyannis, Lady of the Churches and founding member of the Non-Governmental Organization “Light of Africa” of the Patriarchal Throne of Alexandria, and performed a memorial service for the repose of this blessed soul on the morning of July 25, 2023, at the Holy Patriarchal Chapel of the Holy Great Martyr George and Nektarios of Pentapolis.
He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families and associates of the deceased benefactress of the Patriarchate of Alexandria, underlining the spontaneous kindness and sensitivity of her loving heart to every suffering person, especially young children, for whom she developed a great charity work.
