Metropolitan Panteleimon of Brazzaville and Gabon met today with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Diaspora, Antonis Diamataris.
The Metropolitan briefed the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs on the charity work of the Metropolis, making a special reference to the orphanage of the Church, “Agios Efstathios”, which has been designated the “best institution of the country” and to the school “The Light of the Nations”.
He also stressed that the Metropolis of Brazzaville and Gabon has eight parishes with a total of about 7,000 Orthodox people, as well as that he also holds the presidency of the Congo Church Council.
Deputy Minister Diamataris, for his part, thanked the Metropolitan of Brazzaville and Gabon and emphasized that the state would assist his mission.
