The presidents and the committees of all the Greek Communities of the Bosporus region welcomed the new Supervisor of the Bosporus Region, Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia, on Wednesday afternoon, the 13th of January, 2021.

During the luncheon, which was held in the hall of the Community of Mega Revma, the honoured Metropolitan delivered a homily. Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia made some important statements about the actions and the work that he intended to undertake for the benefit of the Greek communities of the region of which he was in charge. Metropolitan Athenagoras assured that he would give priority to the creation of programmes in various fields for the youth and for the elderly.

At the end of the luncheon, the Metropolitan cut the Vasilopita and offered many gifts and treats. The attendees wished the Metropolitan all the best and hoped that God would give him strength so as he succeeded in carrying out the great and important hierarchical work.
