Archbishop Elpidophoros of America announced the establishment of the Hellenic Education Fund to support and promote Hellenic Education in America and across the Archdiocese of America, including the 25 Archdiocesan Day Schools and more than 500 Afternoon schools.
These Greek American schools are essential to shaping the minds and hearts of the children and preserving the rich cultural heritage and language.
To support this Fund, a spectacular benefit concert will take place on January 30, 2024, the Feast Day of the Three Hierarchs, at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Titled “Letters About Three Luminaries: The Music of Athanasios Zervas.” The concert will introduce the Fund while raising funds and entertaining attendees. Through Mr. Zervas’ unique blend of Greek folk and contemporary music, we will celebrate the literary and cultural contributions of these great hierarchs and luminaries of our Church, who introduced Hellenism to the Western World and helped shape its cultural and intellectual landscape.
