With due splendor, the Church of Greece celebrates again this year the feast of the Apostle of the Nations Paul, who is the founder of the Church of Greece.
In the morning, Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens and all Greece performed the Mystery of Holy Communion at the celebrating Church of St. Paul in Athens, while the Synodal Metropolitan Antonios of Glyfada, Elliniko, Voula, Vouliagmeni and Vari, the Chief Secretary of the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece, Bishop Filothos of Oreoi concelebrated.
Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens will preside over the Festal Vespers service at the Areopagus in the evening at 19.00 in commemoration of the Areopagus sermon, that is, the speech delivered by Saint Paul the Apostle in Athens.
Archimandrite Nektarios Karsiotis, Hierarchical Vicar of the 18th Archdicesean District and Minute taker of the Holy Synod, will deliver a speech.
The local Holy Metropolises of the Church of Greece also celebrate the feast, especially those through which the Apostle Paul, the Founder of the Church of Greece, passed and preached the Word of God.
