The Holy Metropolis of Belgium, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the enthronement of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, performed an Archieratical Divine Liturgy at the Metropolitan Chapel of St. Marina, in Brussels, on the morning of October 22, 2021.
In this Eucharistic way, the clergy and the people praised God for the thirty-year service of the Ecumenical Patriarch on the First Throne of Orthodoxy, wished him health and divine strength in the continuation of his glorious patriarchy, for many more years.
Bishop Joachim of Apollonia presided over the Divine Liturgy on behalf of Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium, with the participation and prayer of the Holy Clergy of Brussels, the Ambassador of Greece to Belgium Dionysios Kalambrezos, the First Counselor of the Greek Embassy, and acting Consul General Vassilios Zarbalis, Archons of the Church, employees in the central administration of the Metropolis and faithful.
Metropolitan Athenagoras, the holy clergy, and the pious people of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg send from the Center of Europe to the Center of Orthodoxy, as children to their father, prayers to God for the health and longevity of Patriarch Bartholomew.
