On Monday 14 February, the Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis and the Archepiscopal Vicar of Canberra conducted an Agiasmo service for the commencement of greek dancing lessons in Canberra.
The Bishop was assisted by Reverend Father Petros Kipouros from the church of St Nicholas in Canberra. The Bishop conveyed the love and blessings of the Archbishop Makarios, a proud greek who promotes and values our rich culture.
The Bishop thanked the teachers for offering their time to teach the children and thanked the parents for bringing their children to dancing lessons. Finally he wished the children a blessed year and presented them an icon of St Nicholas.
