With the Blessings of Archbishop Makarios of Australia, Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis, the Archiepiscopal Vicar of Canberra visited the regional town of Wagga Wagga and served Matins and the Divine Liturgy at the church of the Dormition of the Theotokos.
In his sermon, Bishop Bartholomew emphasized the importance of the Resurrection in explaining today’s gospel, the 3rd Sunday of Luke, while at the end of the service the Bishop conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia.
Lunch was then served in the adjacent hall. Following lunch, Bishop Bartholomew visited the local cemetery and conducted a Trisagion for a member of the local community who recently slept in the Lord.
