The Holy Archdiocese of Australia presents to the Greek community the preliminary Program of the National Commission for the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution. Very soon the Final Program will follow, bilingual, both in electronic and printed form. The printed form will have the character of an anniversary edition (booklet), crafted and collectible.
The following are the main events/activities of the Program for the celebrations of 2021, a Program that is pan-Australian. Among the 100 main events/activities are the unveiling of five Monuments, the 12th Clergy-Laity Assembly and the National Youth Conference of the Holy Archdiocese, both with the theme and slogan “For God and Homeland”, the cutting of a special medal for the big anniversary, the release of an anniversary series of stamps, a large number of lectures and speeches, symposiums, conferences and concerts, parades, school festivals, events of parishes and ethno-local associations, film screenings, documentary productions, exhibitions of photography, traditional costumes, educational items and antiques, tree plantations and balls, competitions, theatrical performances and, finally, anniversary publications. There will also be a total of seven Multi-archieratic Divine Liturgies across Australia, one in each Archdiocesan District, to highlight the church-centered character of the Greek Revolution of 1821.

The National Committee for the Celebrations of the 200th Anniversary of the Greek Revolution would like to thank, on behalf of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia, all the communities, associations, fraternities, organizations, independent schools, etc., who with their cooperation allow to the Greek community to present to the wider Australian society a single, comprehensive and coherent presence, under the auspices of the mother Church, to praise and honor their ancestors.
