A gathering of young people took place in the village of Bala of the Metropolitan Kananga. The gathering was attended by Metropolitan Theodosius of Kananga.
A Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary by the Metropolitan of Kananga, who spoke about the Most Holy Lady Theotokos and Ever Virgin Mary.
At the end of the Divine Liturgy, the Church was full of young men and women, where the Metropolitan conveyed the blessings of Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa while he expressed Patriarch’s joy in bringing together the young.
The main subject of the event was “The importance of purity and virginity of young people before marriage and the virtue of moderation after marriage.” The Metropolitan presented the speaker, who was a distinguished young graduate of the Kananga Medical School. Following the speech, there was a discussion.
Finally, the Metropolitan thanked the young people of the village and those who travelled from Kananga in order to join the feast and gathering, and urged them to chant for the glory of their Patriarch.
The Metropolitan hosted a luncheon for all the young people.
