On Thursday, March 7, the Artistic Director of the National Theater of Greece, Ioannis Moschos, visited the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese of Australia in Sydney.
Moschos visited the Holy Cathedral of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and was received by Archbishop Makarios of Australia, with whom he had a friendly and fruitful conversation.
The discussion focused on issues related to the life of the Greek Diaspora in Australia, with emphasis on artistic and cultural activities in general. The Archbishop also provided detailed information on the presence and work of the Orthodox Church, the events planned for the 100th anniversary of its foundation, as well as the upcoming Apostolic Visit of the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, which will mark the culmination of the anniversary celebrations.
At the end of the meeting, Archbishop Makarios thanked the Artistic Director of the National Theatre for his visit to the headquarters of the Holy Archdiocese and wished him God’s strength and enlightenment in the performance of his duties for the spiritual benefit of the public of the historic cultural institution and the Greek people as a whole.
