Metropolitan Panteleimon welcomed US Consul General in Thessaloniki Gregory W. Pfleger, Jr at the office of the Holy Metropolis of Maroneia and Komotini.
Metropolitan Panteleimon thanked the Consul for his visit, informed him about the work of the local Church and underlined the good relations between the two Christian peoples.
For his part, the Consul expressed his gratitude to the Metropolitan for welcoming him, manifested his interest in the region and called on the Metropolitan to pray for the continuation of the harmonious relations of the two countries.
