The General Secretary of the World Council of Churches, Dr. Jerry Pillay, visited the Metropolis of Nea Ionia.
Mr. Pillay met with Archbishop Ieronymos of Athens at the offices of the Archdiocese on Thursday.
He was then given a tour by Metropolitan Gabriel of the construction site of the Ionic Ionian Center of the Metropolis of Nea Ionia, Athens.
The center includes a Holy Church, a kindergarten, a conference center, a museum, and a hospitality center.
