Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium and Exarch of the Netherlands and Luxembourg received the new Consul General of Greece in Brussels, Vassilios Zorbalis, at the seat of the Holy Metropolis, on the morning of August 26, 2020.
The newly arrived Consul wanted from the beginning of his duties to receive the wishes and blessings of the Metropolitan, who welcomed him and wished him every blessing and progress in the ministry of the Greek community in Belgium. A discussion on issues of common interest followed later.
Mr. Zorbalis expressed his admiration for the organization of the central services and the work of the Metropolis in general, while he promised to have a good and noble cooperation with the local Church.
