Metropolitan Athenagoras of Belgium blessed the New Year’s Vasilopita of the Greek Embassy in Brussels, on February 3, 2022.
Metropolitan Athenagoras was invited by the Greek Ambassador Dionysiou Kalambrezou. The event was attended by the First Counselor and Director of the Consular Office of Brussels Vassilios Zarbalis and the other advisers and employees of the Embassy.
Metropolitan Athenagoras expressed his joy for his presence at the Greek Embassy and praised the good cooperation and coexistence of both his Predecessors and himself with the Greek Diplomats. He wished for the important mission of Greece and its representatives everywhere as well as for the maintenance of peace and universal values in the modern world, troubled by the pandemic and the politically unstable conditions. The Metropolitan also stressed the success of the Ambassador in the effort to strengthen bilateral relations between Greece and Belgium.
