On December 5, 2023, the memory of Saint Savvas the Sanctified was celebrated in the Great City of Alexandria.
Pope and Patriarch Theodore II of Alexandria and All Africa presided over the Orthros and the Divine Liturgy at the Katholikon of the Holy Patriarchal Monastery of Saint Savvas, concelebrated by Metropolitans Narcissus of Pelusium, Patriarchal Vicar of Alexandria and Germanos of Tamiatheus.
With words of love, the Patriarch addressed the faithful, to whom he wished Saint Savvas to be a consolation, blessing, and spiritual warmth in the lives of all the faithful and their families.
During the Divine Liturgy, the Patriarch of Alexandrian performed the ordination of Fr. Vasileios Buk, to whom he addressed paternal admonitions and advice while praising the brilliant studies, the obedience and modesty that distinguish him, which, as he characteristically said, are guarantees for a blessed course in the Church.
Afterwards a festive reception was held at the Archontariki of the Monastery, offered by Aliki Antoniou, President of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Alexandria.
