The Patriarchal Vicar of Cairo, Metropolitan Nikodimos of Memphis, chanted the Paschal troparion behind closed doors and without the presence of the faithful at the Patriarchal Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Cairo where he sent a message of love, peace and victory over death.
After the Resurrection Service, the Metropolitan of Memphis chanted the Paschal troparion at the courtyard of the Patriarchal Vicariate.
The Patriarchal Vicariate is opposite the recently renovated Cathedral of Saint Nicholas, the historic church where Saint Nektarios was ordained Bishop of Pentapolis, and the cell of the saint who carried the cross with patience and love from his Calvary to holiness.
