The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Germany announced with great emotion the falling asleep in the Lord of the retired clergyman Protopresbyter Irodion Zerdalis.
Father Irodion was born in the village of Verdikoussa, in Elassona, in 1940. It is noteworthy that the shepherd of the Metropolis has bestowed upon him the Offikion of the Protopresbyter in 1995 in order to pay tribute to Fr. Irodion for his ministry, the ethos and the general offering.
The funeral service will be performed only with the presence of family members due to the coronavirus pandemic. Finally, the urged the pious clergy and the faithful of the Holy Metropolis to pray for the rest of his soul.
